Gingerbread Books For Preschoolers

Are you planning on a gingerbread unit this winter? Or maybe you are just looking for some great books for your kids! Either way, this list is filled with great Gingerbread Man (and Gingerbread Girl!) books including some books that are based on the folklore legend and stories from around the world!

You can't start a gingerbread man unit without the classic story. Here are some of my favorites. We have several of these in our home. I love the different illustrations!

I love reading different variations of The Gingerbread Man during our unit. We usually start with a classic version and then some different variations from around the world. My students love to compare and contrast the stories. And during the rest of the week we read some other books that have gingerbread characters! I hope you enjoy some of our favorites! And we can't wait to add some more to our library!
